You're Not Crazy — It Might Be Hashimoto’s: A Symptom List No One Gave You
If you’ve ever left a doctor’s office feeling dismissed, told that “everything looks fine” while your body is clearly saying otherwise — you’re not alone. For many women, especially those with Hashimoto’s, symptoms pile up long before a diagnosis ever happens. And often, they're brushed off as aging, stress, anxiety, or “just being a woman.”
Let’s be clear: Hashimoto’s can show up in over 100 different ways. Your symptoms are real — and you’re not crazy.
What Is Hashimoto’s?
Hashimoto’s is an autoimmune condition where your immune system mistakenly attacks your thyroid. Because the thyroid influences almost every system in the body — metabolism, mood, hormones, digestion, and more — symptoms can show up in unexpected (and overwhelming) ways.

My Story: It Wasn’t “Just Stress”
I both love and hate this photo. It is one of the few photos I have with my dad. It was the last family photo that we took with dad before he passed. I love it that I have this photo with him, but I hate it because all I see is 100% Hashimoto’s moon face.
When I was struggling with Hashimoto’s, I kept hearing that I “looked fine” — but I felt anything but fine. I had brain fog, puffiness in my face, major fatigue, and couldn’t recover from a workout for days. It wasn’t until I found a practitioner who ran a full thyroid panel and looked deeper that I finally got answers — and began to feel like myself again.
